Message from the Parish Priest

Posted by olfpadmin on May 5, 2014

Drawn by the inspiration of the abundance of the spirit-filled generosity of you my dear parishioners, I’m so happy to share with you two great news that will surely gladden everybody’s heart to give more praise and worship to the Good Lord.

One is that in the next days, the tolling of bells will surely move us to remind that it’s God’s time; prayer time, thanksgiving moment in our place of worship and if ever solitude is preferred, our Adoration chapel will be most welcoming as we are assured of their completion.

Praise God! Happy Fiesta!

Message from the Parish Priest

Posted by olfpadmin on May 31, 2013

Greetings of Peace!

Everyone is awed as we are seeing now the most concrete and tangible signs of God's unifying power in our midst. As we dreamed and labored together, the church started to rise and now is almost complete. Praise God and thank you for every little act of sacrifice and offering extended to its realization. Both spiritual and material support accompanied our vision to achieve everything as envisioned three years ago.

And today, as Bishop Buenaventura M. Famadico, DD consecrates and blesses our house of worship, we pray and invoke God's abiding presence to intensify more our desire to be in close communion with Him as we celebrate every sacrament in this new house of God. This new church will witness to every act of deepening more of our spiritual needs whether the celebration of the new life in baptism, the sharing of meal in the Eucharist, the sweet union of couples in matrimony and a lot of para-liturgical activities that will identify the parishioners of Our Lady of Fatima. With the intercession of our Mother and St. Joseph our Protector, we are counting on the overflowing graces of the Almighty to each one of us.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!

Message from the Parish Pastoral Council President

Posted by olfpadmin on May 12, 2013

Thank you, Lord!

The hands of God, through our Lord Jesus Christ and the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima, are working with us, Fatima Parishioners! Who could have imagined that after three years, a beautiful house of worship is ready for its consecration and blessing on May 12, 2013?

Truly, the parochial effort, led by the Parish Construction Committee, the Parish Finance Committee and the Parish Pastoral Council, merited an outstanding flow of support by the parishioners and generous donors. With the guidance of our Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Vani Silva, OSJ and Parish Aeconomus Rev. Fr. Resty Rosales, OSJ and around PhP 18 million cost-to-date, work on finishing touches are at feverish pace, financial and other forms of support keep pouring in.

May 12, 2013, Sunday, will be etched in the history of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Not only in this day the celebration of our Parish Fiesta but also the day of dedication of the new church and altar, by Most Reverend Buenaventura M. Famadico, DD, Bishop of San Pablo, a fit offering to our patroness, Our Lady of Fatima.

There are still structures to be constructed, like the Bell Tower, Baptismal Font, Chapel of the Saints, Parish Offices, Function Hall and Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel which will entail additional funds. However, the joy in our hearts and the smile on our faces will see to it that these concerns will be properly addressed in time. "The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want." My fellow parishioners, let us all give thanks to our Lord for the blessing of a new church. Let us likewise rejoicein His presence to see us through to the total construction and completion of this project.

To Almighty God's greatest glory, honor & praise!

Message from the Parish Finance Committee Chairman

Posted by olfpadmin on May 31, 2013

Greetings!

God's miracles work in different ways. He makes seemingly impossible things possible. The Parish Finane Council's noble idea of reconstructing a bigger and better church is a dream that has become a reality - with the construction now 90% complete.

Blessings came and continue to come from different people, from different parishes, from all walks of life! It is faith that held a group of people to reach a common goal. It's faith that made people from different parishes share their blessings to ours!
Ours is a church built by faith and unity!

Most Rev. Bishop Buenaventura Malaya Famadico, DD of the diocese of San Pablo consecrated the altar and new church building of Our Lady of Fatima Parish last May 12, 2013 at 4 p.m.. Three years after the new church edifice was officially started in 2010, now we are truly blessed to have a simple, spacious, elegant place of worship. On the 22nd year of the parish, the new church is a combined effort of the parishioners, friends, and benefactors in and outside the village of Elvinda.

Message from the Parish Pastoral Council President

Posted by olfpadmin on February 1, 2013

Dear faithful servers of Our Lady of Fatima Parish,

My heart-felt thanks go to all officers and members of the Parish Pastoral Council. Truly, you have given your best services to our parish. You have, individually and collectively, shown the three (3) T's required from persons in service: time, talent and treasure.

In my years of service to the Parish, I realized that Trust in the Lord and Triumph in the presence of the Lord are as equally important as the 3 Basic T's. These additional T's brought about meaningful changes in my life. I like to think that my only son's joining the priesthood had something to do with what he saw as a witness to the hands of the Lord guiding me to be what I am. I cannot be more thankful to the Lord. Thank you too to all Parishioners of OLFP, for all the support in our church spiritual activities and mission- works.

My term as President of the PPC will come to an end again. However, my service to the poor, the sick, and the needy will always be my personal mission. This is where I will be at peace with the Lord.

I pray that the Lord will continue to guide all of us.

Thank you to all.

To Almighty God’s greatest glory!!

Pope Francis Quotes

Posted by olfpadmin on June 8, 2013

"Jesus on the Cross feels the whole weight of the evil, and with the force of God's love he conquers it, he defeats it with his resurrection. This is the good the Jesus does for all of us upon his throne of the Cross. Christ's Cross embraced with love does not lead to sadness, but to joy!It leads to the joy of being saved and of doing a little of what He did that day of his death."

"Jesus teaches us another way: Go out. Go out and share your testimony, go out and interact with your brothers, go out and share, go out and ask. Become the Word in body as well as spirit."

Pope Francis
Jorge Mario Bergoglio
